Keeping Families Together
Provides at-risk families with 8-12 weeks of family-centered, in-home parent training to help prevent abuse and neglect and family disruption. Self-referrals and community referrals accepted.
Intensive Crisis Counseling
Helps prevent the removal of children from the home during crisis situations. Immediate in-home interventions 24 hours a day. Referrals by BSO, DCF and full case management providers.
Lorraine Thomas Children’s Emergency Home
Temporary safe shelter for children 12 and under who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment.

Provides an independent living program aimed at helping young adults 16-20 years in age, that are homeless or in a crisis situation at home. Program includes housing, limited financial assistance, employment, money management, and individual and group therapy. J

Provides immediate, intensive, brief (6-8 weeks) home-based therapeutic services to children under 18 years of age and their families. The goal is to divert hospitalizations and assist the family in learning new ways to respond to difficult or crisis situations. Therapists are available 24 hours/7 days a week during the intervention period. J

Crisis screening 24 hours a day, 7 days of week for any one 14 years of age and older needing immediate assistance, direct walk-in center for mental health evaluation. Staff provides psychiatric and psychosocial assessment to determine if admission to the hospital is necessary; if not, it may provide other interventions and referrals as needed. J
