Welcome to Connections 2008

The Mental Health Association of Broward County is proud to present

this 13th edition of "Connections", a guide to mental health and support

services for the behavioral health consumers of our community.

"Connections" is compiled by consumers for consumers. Its intent is

to provide a tool that empowers those with illness to be informed about

resources and opportunities available to them in pursuit of recovery.

For those seeking resources for children with behavioral needs, MHA

also publishes "Connections for Kids".

Please note that resource information in our community changes

rapidly. While our staff and volunteers have made every effort to provide

accurate content, there may be adjustments or corrections that were

not available at the time this book went to print. We will make every

effort to post the most current information in the "Connections" section

of the MHA website at www.mhabroward.org

MHA appreciates the continued support of our project underwriters,

Broward County’s Human Services Department: Substance Abuse and

Health Care Division and Department of Children & Families: Substance

Abuse and Mental Health, District 10. Without their partnership, this

resource would not be possible.

The MISSION of your Mental Health Association is to work for mental

health and for victory over mental illness through education, prevention,

advocacy and empowerment.

"Connections" addresses each component of that agenda. We invite

you to join in our organization and our advocacy.

Mental health is a goal…for everyone.
