For juveniles age 4-14 years old in DCF custody.  Contracted emergency shelter for children who have been removed from their homes.  J

 

COVENANT HOUSE – Emergency Shelter                                        954-561-5559

For runaway or homeless youth age 21 years old or younger, including teenage parents.  Provides emergency shelter with food, clothing, health services, parental education, counseling, school/GED, and case management.  J

                       

KIDS IN DISTRESS

For children birth–12 years old who are referred by DCF.  Short-term emergency shelter for children temporarily removed from their home.

 

Infant and Toddler Emergency Shelter (KITES)                                 954-390-7654

For children ages birth – 5 years old who have a specific disability or diagnosis and are in the custody of the state.  Must be referred by DCF.  Short-term emergency shelter for children who are having moderate medical complications from drug exposure, physical abuse, or sexually transmitted diseases.

Emergency shelter for homeless and domestic violence victims who are female or male children 13 years old or younger.

Provides emergency residential placement, food, clothing, and referral and counseling services for Hollywood female residents  only and male children age 13 years or younger.
